With this session, this Office aims to provide information on the new proposal for an Industrial Accelerator Regulation, known as the Industrial Accelerator Act - IAA.

With this session, this Office aims to provide information on the new proposal for an Industrial Accelerator Regulation, known as the Industrial Accelerator Act - IAA.
RegisterThe seventh edition of the Europa+Cerca Program is now underway, aiming to bring the realities of the EU closer to Navarre's SMEs.
This initiative is promoted by the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN), whose Navarrese nodes are the Navarrese Association of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (AIN) and the Navarre Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with the Directorate General for External Action and the Permanent Office of Navarre to the EU in Brussels. This edition also includes nodes from the autonomous communities of Extremadura, La Rioja, and Castilla-La Mancha.

On March 5, the first meeting of the Committee of the Regions' Automotive Intergroup (CoRAI) will take place in Brussels, at the Committee of the Regions, from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the Automotive Package of the EC. The discussion will serve to advance a new opinion document and work on a carefully tailored response to the package.
On February 10, a joint event organized by PLAN4CET and IN-PLAN will be held both in person and online: “Learn, Plan, Act – Building Local Capacities to Deliver Integrated Energy and Climate Plans”.

On Wednesday, December 10, the CoRAI meeting took place in Brussels from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. The meeting focused on the innovative self-driving car, which, powered by artificial intelligence and R&D&I, is now a reality in the automotive sector. The meeting was chaired by CoRAI, with representatives from the industry in Saxony and the director of CLEPA in attendance.
The 6th meeting from the ENVE Commission took place on Friday 5th of December in Brussels, from 11:00 to 17:00, with the intervention of the Director General for External Action, Sergio Pérez.

On November 5, the Permanent Office of Navarre to the EU participated in an event in which 25 regional presidents and ministers debated with 25 MEPs and shared a common vision for a strengthened cohesion policy after 2027 that would serve all territories, specific projects, and citizens.
The event took place at the European Parliament and was organized by the EURegions4Cohesion coalition, jointly led by the regions of New Aquitaine (French Republic) and Emilia-Romagna (Italy), with the support of European Parliament Vice-Presidents Younous Omarjee, Antonella Sberna, and Javi López.

On Monday, October 20, and Tuesday, October 21, a meeting of the Spanish delegation to the European Committee of the Regions was held in Santiago de Compostela.
Navarre, together with representatives from the other autonomous communities and local authorities that are members of the delegation to the European Committee of the Regions, has signed up to the so-called “Galicia Declaration,” which expresses firm rejection of the European Commission's proposal on the Multiannual Financial Framework 2028–2034 and future cohesion policy.

The European regions lobby #EURegions4Alliance and the CoR warn of the centralization implied in the Commission's MFF proposal.
Furthermore, if accepted, the proposal could undermine confidence in the EU institutions and jeopardize democracy in Europe due to the foreseeable lack of oversight by the European Parliament and national or regional parliaments over investments in the territories. These are the main messages included in a resolution unanimously adopted at the plenary session on October 15.

On July 3rd, we organized an informal aperitif at the Office with the Navarrese community in the EU capital, in conjunction with the upcoming San Fermín Festival. In addition to Navarrese citizens, we had the opportunity to host and chat with friends from Navarre who are interested in the reality of our region.

The 163rd plenary session of the European Committee of the Regions took place in Brussels on the 20th and 21st of November 2024.
The President of the Regional Government of Navarra , María Chivite, took part in the CoR plenary session. At the plenary session, in which she spoke on various points related to cohesion policies, regional cooperation and the demographic challenge, she defended a decentralised European cohesion policy, which continues to rely on the regions to gain in proximity and efficiency, working from cooperation between regions and multilevel governance, in order to successfully implement the digital, green and fair transitions.

The President of Navarra, María Chivite, has asked the European institutions for a commitment to face the transition of the automotive sector towards electric mobility. At the political breakfast in Brussels, he emphasized the importance of a European project that respects regional specificities and promotes cohesion. The transfer of the ARA presidency from Navarra to the Italian region of Lombardy on November 28 has also been mentioned.
Chivite has highlighted the fight for a just industrial transition, underlining the role of the regions in this process and the need for public-private collaboration. He also highlighted Navarra's achievements in vocational training and innovation, as well as Volkswagen's transformation in the region. Finally, he met with the president of the Thomas Schmidt Automotive Intergroup to discuss solutions for sustainable mobility.

The FAIRNESS project aims to promote arbitration as a mechanism for resolving consumer disputes between consumers and businesses and professionals, and as an alternative to the courts, in line with European recommendations. Through the Consumer Arbitration System, the parties voluntarily entrust an arbitration body, which acts impartially, independently and confidentially, with the decision on the dispute or conflict that has arisen between them in a consumer relationship. This decision, binding on both parties, has the same effectiveness as a judgement. Moreover, it is a confidential, impartial, independent, agile and free service.

We organise this session in the context of the Festival for the European Year of Competences and on the occasion of Europe Day. With it, from the Delegation, we want to offer practical and concrete information about the skills that our students in Vocational Education and Training can develop and how to do it, to be better prepared for the employment of the future.
