As part of a trip to Brussels to mark the conclusion of the European SHARE project, representatives from the Government of Navarre’s Directorate General for Migration Policy visited Navarre’s Permanent Representation to the European Union.
The meeting was attended by the Director General of Migration Policies, Eva Gurria, and the Director General of External Action, Sergio Pérez. It provided a firsthand look at the work carried out by the Delegation to strengthen Navarre’s presence and influence within European institutions.
During the meeting, they discussed the opportunities offered by European programs and networks to promote initiatives related to migration policies, inclusion, and social cohesion. They also highlighted the importance of maintaining close collaboration between the various departments of the Government of Navarre and the Delegation in Brussels to strengthen the region’s participation in strategic European projects.
The visit also provided an opportunity to share experiences and results obtained through the SHARE project, an initiative that has promoted the exchange of knowledge and best practices among European regions regarding reception and inclusion, with the Directorate-General for Migration Policy presenting its experience with Community Sponsorship programs. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to continue working together to position Navarre as a leader in the development of innovative public policies aligned with European values.
