The President of Navarra, María Chivite, has asked the European institutions for a commitment to face the transition of the automotive sector towards electric mobility. At the political breakfast in Brussels, he emphasized the importance of a European project that respects regional specificities and promotes cohesion. The transfer of the ARA presidency from Navarra to the Italian region of Lombardy on November 21 has also been mentioned.
Chivite has highlighted the fight for a just industrial transition, underlining the role of the regions in this process and the need for public-private collaboration. He also highlighted Navarra's achievements in vocational training and innovation, as well as Volkswagen's transformation in the region. Finally, he met with the president of the Thomas Schmidt Automotive Intergroup to discuss solutions for sustainable mobility.
