The 49th General Assembly of the Conference of Peripheral Maritime Regions (CPMR) was held virtually from October 13th to 15th, 2021, with plenary sessions on October 14th, focusing on post-pandemic recovery and sustainable regional development. Key topics included cohesion policy, energy, climate change, and transportation, with a special focus on the launch of the “Territories Matter” initiative.

The assembly brought together representatives from 160 regions across 24 EU and non-EU countries to address the challenges facing peripheral and maritime territories.
